2018 1-Act Festival - Scottish Final Results

THE RESULTS OF THE OPEN SCOTTISH FINAL of the One-Act Play Festival held in Village Theatre, East Kilbride , 19th to 21st APRIL were as follows:-

 

•Wheatley Tassie Trophy (1st Place): Aberdour Players - ‘Red Cross’ by Sam Shepard

•Jim Porteous Trophy (2nd Place): Aberfeldy Drama Group - ‘Descent’ by Linda Duncan McLaughlin

•David Baxter Salver (3rd Place): 88 Theatre - ‘Kissing Sid James’ by Robert Farquhar

•Connie Fisher Trophy (Highest Marks in Direction): Aberfeldy Drama Group

•Donald T Farmer Trophy (Best Theatrical Moment): Kirkton Players - ‘Alan and Jean’s Incredible Journey’ by Ian Kershaw

•Grampian Television Trophy (Best Stage Decor): Aberdour Players

•Glen McKemmie (Scottish Life and Character): Stromness Drama Club - ‘Confessional’ by David Weir

 

Aberdour Players will represent Scotland at The British Final to be hosted at Macrobert Arts Centre Stirling 6 & 7 July 2018

 

In addition:

•Scott Salver (Best Original Script) was awarded to ‘Signature’ by Bob Davidson

•Dunmore Trophy (Poster competition) was won by Studio Theatre for the poster for ‘Mary Queen of Scots Got Her Head Chopped Off’

 

The overall winner will represent Scotland at The British Final to be hosted at Macrobert Arts Centre Stirling 6 & 7 July 2018
